Dr. Ida Rose was born and raised in New Orleans. Upon completion of high school, she decided to stay in the city and matriculated at Xavier University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology. Then Dr. Rose moved to Iowa to begin her journey in the field of dentistry.
In 1999, she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She completed a one-year general practice residency at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York. Driven by her love for children, Dr. Rose entered Howard University’s pediatric dental program in Washington, DC, where she earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry.
She is certified to administer oral sedation and pediatric advanced life support. In 2007, Dr. Rose earned her Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and she is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has received awards such as one of Atlanta Magazine's Top Doctor Awards and Atlanta Parent Magazine's Mom Approved Dentists Award. She has privileges at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and is also on the staff at Wellstar Douglas for children who need general anesthesia.

During her hours away from the office, Dr. Rose enjoys walking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Rose serves as a volunteer in the youth ministry at her church.
